okay, this is my umpteenth bit on social network analysis…it never gets boring - particularly when i can evangelize by using SEX as an educational tool..if you wanna understand why sna is so important, then read the interview i did with stan wasserman (stan is like el jefe when it comes to sna methodology)…

this blurb is all about the sexchart archive project, which started way back in 1996, way before anthony kiedis took voice lessons, and long after the medieval crusades began …basically, one person started this little project “for the express purpose of pointing out exactly how many scene guys (i’ve) dated“…revision tracking started in 1997, and since then the rules have changed a bit - participants should have an email address, and the idea is to connect the numbers of folks who have kissed (or “copulated” - which is a pleasant way to say ‘fucked’ - but ‘copulated’ has a more ersatz feel, versus “had sex,” which sounds goobery, or “made love” - because that’s just presumptious…love is such a strong emotion)…

…the group tracks the participants and releases regular updates with extensive notes and a visual diagram of all activity…you do not need to understand how it all works to enjoy perusing the images and diagrams (that’s why i’m writing about it)…for example, compare the 1996 version 1.0 chart (earliest one) to the june 2005 version 9.41 and you can see exactly why people die from sexually transmitted diseases!!! nice feature: the maintainers constantly remove bogus names and also indicate all new additions in the notes…

on a serious aside, many members of insna are using sna to model the spread of infectious disease (think aviary flu), or drug use within small communities and urban areas - because sna is a very important analytical tool…the sexchart project, while bereft of heady analysis (e.g. who is the biggest slut?), still offers some fresh insight into how this kind of stuff works…after reading up on it, i urge you all to abstain until you’re married (just saying that in case my sons ever read this)…

Some similar nonsense, if you like that kind of thing:
