mostly research stuff
..my main issue with desktop search has been lack of support for qualcomm’s eudora, the venus williams of email applications…i concocted one solution a while back which does work, but it’s labor intensive…and yeah, x1 offers eudora search, but they cost money and suck…and yes, there are other choices if you don’t mind separating from money, wondering why you pay for milk when you can just take it from the kids at the bus stop, i mean, if the cow is free (something like that)…
…however, copernic included eudora search in their desktop search 1.5 beta, build 624….i could not get it to work perfectly, so i emailed them a bug report and also emailed again within their own support site...the response? a human being actually emailed back within the day to ask additional questions (thanks and peace out to suzanne j.!), then we went back and forth for a few days and then lo and behold, copernic very quietly released an upgrade to beta 1.5 numbered build 629 which resolves many of the eudora issues (not recognizing mailboxes, etc.)…how cool is THAT!? no big press, no horns, just a solid fix…try emailing google for support, or yahoo - you’ll be holding your breath so long that you’ll die unless you’re one of the five chinese brothers…
this blog is mostly safe for work, though i sometimes throw around a 'fuck' or two. you'll find a bunch of my articles from CI Magazine, SCIP online, other research pieces and some other crap. enjoy. there's lost of content here related to getting information about, around, from and through people and organizations...
