mostly research stuff
ever heard of this company geodesic or their product mundu messenger? …well, first read this bit, courtesy of their product page: “Mundu Messenger is an “Interoperable Instant Messaging” tool that lets users communicate with one another instantly…across other services including AIM, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo…combines valuable features…URL transfer…cross-conferencing (a world first), easy portability, cross platform availability and..services including integration of mail notifications, sms/reverse sms and a scrolling news, mail and stocks ticker…” yadda, yadda, yadda…
now, according to an article of a while back in foreign language pub baguia, this mundu product might become the foundation of a gmessenger app from elGoog…here’s a more detailed snapshot from moneycontrol, “An Indian company could power internet giant Google’s next killer application. Geodesic Information Systems, a Mumbai-based company listed on the BSE, is believed to be running a pilot project for what could some day be the Google Instant Messenger. Sources told CNBC-TV18 that the company got the go-ahead to develop the prototype after meeting Google’s founders…”
..according to both, the connection goes like this: serial entrepreneur raketh mathur gets bling and prestige by joining the board of geodesic last year before elGoog’s ipo (bought a stake in geodesic)…mathur was the founder of the famous and mostly-functional junglee (acquired long ago by amazon) …ram shriram was ceo of junglee and was also an early money-milk-man to sergio and barry in 1988 (before madonna got married)….mathur is rumored to be close to sergio and barry (do you really care at this point?)…
…but oh you careful readers must be like, “what the shit? why are you bringing up this old crap from last summer?”… hah! …because i got a call this week from a guy (who will remain nameless) who was maybe in canada claiming to be the owner of the gmessenger.com domain name…still not sure where he was going in dialogue…interesting…wanna know why he called? makes no sense anymore…since the domain is already rumored to belong to a php development group, and they claim to already offer gmessenger!!!
