mostly research stuff
wanna know where i’ve been getting all of my news and info on the world of security breaches? wanna know where to get the g5 on software with crappy security features? interested in security but just not sure if it will make you look fat or old? well, it’s alright baby, we can work it out…
…a while ago, i found myself checking way too many security news alerts…most of ‘em just sucked…but then i got turned on to the institute for security technology studies at dartmouth…these folks run one of the most impressive security news monitoring services that i’ve ever seen (wouldn’t mama be proud?)….if you dig around, you’ll find their news page, which is where you can search the archives, read breaking news, or just keep that browser open at work so it looks like you’re staying on top of things when you’re really on craigslist looking for a coffee table (or russian bride…depends on your employer)…
…but within that same page is a small link to their newsletter… it’s outstanding - i read it every time it arrives (almost daily)…usually the first place that i can find out who to make fun of next (maybe netscape, with their bullshit new browser - probably comes with aol crap built in to every turn)….
yes, it’s a news aggregation site and not an original content only creation site - but it’s a really, really good aggregation… - and if you’re feeling geeky, then don’t forget to look over their own articles and research…
this blog is mostly safe for work, though i sometimes throw around a 'fuck' or two. you'll find a bunch of my articles from CI Magazine, SCIP online, other research pieces and some other crap. enjoy. there's lost of content here related to getting information about, around, from and through people and organizations...
