mostly research stuff
keep an eye on this tool: frassle - and take it for a ride…it’s not exactly furl, and it’s not exactly spurl, but rather a new in-between called frassle…combines bookmarking and annotation, collaborative research and blogging under one roof…and all for free…i dropped a note to shimon rura (the creator) to get some feedback and insight, and here’s the reply i got…
from shimon, “A combination of furl/spurl with a blog would be a pretty good way to describe frassle. Whereas furl, spurl, and del.icio.us collect bookmarks in their own systems, frassle can track links from weblogs–whether they’re published on frassle itself or aggregated from another site. People are unwittingly providing lots of useful metadata as the read, bookmark, and blog, and I think that if we can integrate all those processes in one system, they will all be improved…Frassle is a part-time hobby, and a work in progress, so it is currently harder to explain and use than {sp,f}url and most blog systems. I am also excited about the “personal page build” option — it is currently getting a major rewrite, adding important features (like choosing font/color schemes) and becoming a lot easier to use. Although there are tools that let you put items from an RSS feed on your page, I don’t think there’s one that will let you blend dynamic content from your own blog, the blogs you read, and other relevant material. The point is not to overwhelm you with lots more content from around the web, but to help you draw more meaningful connections between the content that’s important to you. And to share those connections with others.”
btw, here’s a link to shimon’s own blog and personal page within frassle…
this blog is mostly safe for work, though i sometimes throw around a 'fuck' or two. you'll find a bunch of my articles from CI Magazine, SCIP online, other research pieces and some other crap. enjoy. there's lost of content here related to getting information about, around, from and through people and organizations...
