mostly research stuff
(oddball tool alert) …say goodbye to the talking heads and tv popinjays…for you social superhero wannabe’s: “armed with only a tiny keyfob, dave disabled every television within eye’s reach, disporting himself amongst the screaming red sox fans“…read about this new tv-b-gone device over at wired and i was floored by the simple elegance of this solution…device was invented by mitch altman, who is all about liberating tv drones from media control and driving us back to divine social interaction…some people think that mitch is a dick for bringing this to market, does that surprise you?
how does it work? very simple. it’s like a universal remote equipped with only an ‘off’ button, cycles through dozens upon dozens of tv codes to get the work done…and it does only one thing: it shuts down television sets…if you’d like to see a picture, visit the tv-b-gone site - though heavy traffic has crippled their server, so you can also see a pic at engadget…but now i’m kinda worried…major population studies have shown that almost 34 percent of americans are ‘assholes’ - and so what are we to do when teens start surfing the ‘hood shutting down presidential addresses, major news events, or even (gasp!) the simpsons? just some food for thought…
this blog is mostly safe for work, though i sometimes throw around a 'fuck' or two. you'll find a bunch of my articles from CI Magazine, SCIP online, other research pieces and some other crap. enjoy. there's lost of content here related to getting information about, around, from and through people and organizations...
